The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, and the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center are searching for full-time faculty members at any rank who specialize in the treatment of non-malignant hematology. The appointees will have a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities at our Hyde Park campus and possibly at our network locations. Other duties will include the teaching and supervision of trainees andstudents, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Faculty Position, Assistant Professor Division of Hematology:
The University of Miami Health System/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, is one of the leading medical centers in the country, and has openings for new faculty members in Classical Hematology.
This faculty position will have clinical and research responsibilities within the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This individual will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Hematology, with focus on the care and treatment of patients within the Classical Hematology Service. We manage a wide range of patients, including thrombosis/hemostasis, hemophilia, anemia and thrombocytopenia. We also have a robust research program, in the interface of cancer and hematology, and have active studies in chemotherapy induced thrombocytopenia and cancer associated thrombosis.
The faculty member will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Soff as well as an excellent team of other hematologists. The goal for the new member will be to develop his/her own clinical and research program within the established team. This individual should be motivated to support the research mission of the Department of Medicine and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center to advance patient care for the patients of South Florida and beyond.
