Gerald A Soff MD, is the Director of the Classical Hematology Service at the University of Miami Health System/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

He has devoted his career to hematology.  He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers in the basic sciences and clinical research in hematology, with a particular focus on interaction of the coagulation system and cancer.

He has a particular passion for education as well as clinical medicine, being a past recipient of the Paul Sherlock Housestaff Teaching Award and Willett F. Whitmore Award for Clinical Excellence (Physician Of The Year) from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and recurring listing on Castle Connolly Top Doctors.

He has been directing a weekly course for hematology fellows in benign hematology since 2009.  Initially this was an in-person course, but since 2020 the course has been web-based allowing for the sharing of content to a broader group of medical trainees and other learners.  The ongoing goal is to provide the highest level of scholarship in hematology content and make this material free to all.

We hope you enjoy the material.
