About This Lecture
  • Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) is common, and the 3rd leading cause of thrombosis-related death. Some estimate as many as 900,000 people could be affected (1 to 2 per 1,000) each year in the United States. 

  • 60,000-100,000 Americans die of VTE. 

  • Understanding the causes and management of VTE is a core part of Classical Hematology as well as primary care.
