Two long years ago, in early 2020, we all became aware of a new pandemic, COVID-19.

It quickly became apparent that in some patients the virus was associated with a severe coagulopathy, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality.

Our understanding of the pathophysiology and management is rapidly evolving.
